The Legendary Pokémon
Legendary Pokémon are unique, immensely powerful creatures at the heart of each region's myths: the birds Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres in Kanto, Lugia and Ho-Oh in Johto, Kyogre, Groudon and Rayquaza in Hoenn, then Dialga, Palkia and Giratina in Sinnoh.
Each can only be caught once per cartridge, often at the end of a dedicated storyline.
