The Nintendo DS is the flagship console of the Pokémon Life era: it hosted Pokémon Diamond, Pearl and then Platinum, the fourth generation and its 493 Pokémon, along with the arrival of the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and worldwide trading through the GTS.
The DS also received Pokémon Ranger, the Mystery Dungeon series, Pokémon Dash and Pokémon Link!
