Ash Ketchum (Satoshi in Japan, Sacha in French) is the hero of the animated series. Born in Pallet Town, he leaves his mother Delia's home at age ten with one goal: to become a Pokémon Master.
His first Pokémon, received from Professor Oak, is a strong-willed Pikachu that refuses to enter its Poké Ball. The two quickly become inseparable and travel through Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and then Sinnoh, collecting Gym Badges and Pokémon League appearances along the way.
Sacha (Satoshi au Japon, Ash en anglais) est le héros de la série animée. Originaire du Bourg Palette, il quitte la maison de sa mère Délia à dix ans avec un objectif : devenir Maître Pokémon.
Son premier Pokémon, reçu du Professeur Chen, est un Pikachu au caractère bien trempé qui refuse d'entrer dans sa Poké Ball. Le duo devient vite inséparable et traverse ensemble les régions de Kanto, Johto, Hoenn puis Sinnoh, accumulant badges d'arène et participations aux Ligues Pokémon.
